HeeHaw Farm Expedition!

Grandma and Grandpa McNeff took us all to HeeHaw tonight for Family Night.  We had a blast.  You should have seen how excited Maddie got this morning when I told her we were going to a farm.  She couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day.  I got nervous when a pretty good wind storm whooshed through and knocked over our garbage cans and blew open the shed, but it died down quite a bit by the time we left.  Thank goodness!

Our camera also ran out of power almost right off the bat.  So we'd pull it out, turn it on, quick take a picture and then turn it off.  But I like the pictures we got!  Here are a few of our favorites!

Trick or Treat Hayride!  (We got candy!)
Almost all the McNeffs  (we missed Brittany's family who, sadly, were sick)

Sean was very tired, and actually fell asleep on the hayride.  He perked up a little near the end.  :)
Nicole made those lion hats!  I think they're adorable!!!
 Go Quinn!
Logan is snug as a bug getting the joy ride while Momma pushes him around.
Maddie was VERY excited!  Though nervous to walk around the petting zoo with goat as tall if not taller than her.  She liked the chickens, though (in the tree).
 Sean!
Grandpa got to pick up one of the piglets and we all got to pet it.  Sean surprised me by reaching out and petting the pig's nose a few times.  It was cute to watch!
Matt, Maddie, and Naomi coming down the slide.
 Naomi!
 Pony rides!!
This was the highlight for Madison, I think.  She loved everything, but getting that pony ride....
...BOTH pony rides was the best part.  I wish you could hear her adorable, high pitched, "Yee-haw!" as she rides along on the horse!

All in all, a very successful and fun trip!  We really enjoyed ourselves!  Thanks again, Grandma and Grandpa McNeff!

Halloween Party!! 2013

So, we haven't posted much (like at all this year) because my blogger quit letting me download pictures for some reason.  So... this is an attempt to get back into blogging.  :)

We had a little Halloween party on Saturday for some family and friends.  It was fun!  Sean was an elephant (see last post for Madsion's costume last year) and Madison was a parrot.  It was hard to convince her to keep her costume on because it was warm in the house.  We had Pin-the-Nose on the Jack-O-Lantern and made a bowling alley (Pumpkin Bowling) out of our hallway (including a black light!).  Coloring pages and spooky treats finished out the event.  Food: string-cheese fingers, breadstick bones, mandarine orange pumpkins, pumpkin cookies, banana ghosts, chips and salsa, and drinks!  I love making treats for Halloween parties!

For all the fun we had, I don't have many pictures....  Oh well!

Julie did face-painting (a HUGE hit with the kids!) and Maddie wanted a blue ladybug...
 and a flower....
 and clouds....  :)
Julie, Matt and I were Tron characters.  Matt has blue in his hair (notice long strand coming down), and I had really long blue eyelash extensions!  It was awesome!
(oh, and behind Mariah, you can see the Pin-the-Nose game)
Gabe, Mariah, and Miranda came for the second half of the party (after the kids were asleep) for games and to finish off the treats!  Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of Julie and her silver and purple hair....  :(
